Boonville-Oneida County Fair - July 25-30-7/19/2017

The Boonville-Oneida County Fair will get underway on Tuesday, July 25, and will continue through Sunday, July 30. The theme of this year’s Fair is “Country Scenes and Children’s Dreams” and will once again feature the Coleman Brothers Midway. The Fair gates open every day at 8 a.m. with many 4-H, dairy, horse, and other shows taking place before the midway opens. Some of the daily highlights are as follows: TUESDAY, JULY 25 CHILDREN’S DAY, HEALTH FAIR, PARADE AND FIREWORKS Tuesday is Children’s Day and Health Fair Day at the Fair. The Coleman Brothers Midway will open at noon with a wristband ride special, $20, on sale from 12-4 p.m. and good until 6 p.m. There will be another wristband ride special, $25, from 6-9 p.m. that will be good until closing. Tuesday night also features a concert by the Boonville Concert Band at 6:30 p.m. (see story at left), followed by the annual Fair parade at 7 p.m. The Nelson Brothers will entertain at the Hauf Brau starting at 8 p.m., followed by fireworks by Majestic. WEDNESDAY, JULY 26 FREE ADMISSION DAY HORSE PULLS Bring a canned good item to donate to Feed Our Vets on free admission day. The Coleman Bros. Midway will open at 1 p.m. offering a wristband ride special for $20, which will be good until 6 p.m. There will be another wristband ride special on sale for $25 from 6-9 p.m., good until closing. Wednesday will also include the lightweight horse pull at 3:30 p.m. and the heavyweight horse pull at 6 p.m. Listen to music by the Swamp Divers in the Hauf Brau at 8 p.m. THURSDAY, JULY 27 TRACTOR PULLS BROKEN B RODEO On Thursday, an out-of-field tractor pull will start at 9 a.m. The midway opens at 3 p.m., and there will be a wristband ride special ($25) on sale from 6-9 p.m. and good until closing. Thursday night will feature Broken B Rodeo, a sanctioned professional rodeo, in front of the grandstand at 6 p.m. Bradish-O’Rourke will be entertaining in the Hauf Brau starting at 9 p.m. FRIDAY, JULY 28 PINK OUT DAY CHILDREN’S DAY; NYS TRACTOR PULLERS Friday will be celebrating “Pink Out Day in Honor of Breast Cancer,” and it is also Children’s Day with a wristband ride special ($20) from 12-4 p.m. and good until 6 p.m. The New York Tractor Pullers Association will begin at 7 p.m. Midnight Madness returns with $25 wristbands on sale from 8-10 p.m. and good until midnight. Friday night’s Hauf Brau music will feature DuBonnet. SATURDAY, JULY 29 TRUCK PULLS SHOOTOUT PROFESSIONAL PULLING SERIES Saturday features a truck pull at 9 a.m. The midway will open at 1 p.m. The Shootout Professional Pulling Series will begin at 6 p.m. in front of the grandstand. The band, W.A.N.T.E.D will be perfroming in the Hauf Brau at 9 p.m. SUNDAY, JULY 30 DEMOLITION DERBY DAY Sunday will conclude with two smashing and exciting demolition derbies, one at 1 p.m. and the other at 6 p.m. There will also be a wristband ride special, $25, available from 12-4 p.m. and good until 7 p.m. These are just a few of the events happening at the 129th Boonville-Oneida County Fair. Free shows at the Fair include Bears of Bearadise Show, Commerford Petting Zoo, Gizmo D. Robot, 4-H demonstrations, agriculture shows and educational exhibits and contests.
